Know your rights

The diverse topography of Cornwall has resulted in some gardens being more accessible than others, and we can’t iron out the steep valley sides, boulder-strewn slopes and dense woodland. But all of our gardens are keen to make their paradises as accessible as possible to buggies, wheelchairs and those of you with limited mobility.

All of our gardens have taken measures to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act to help overcome barriers to access. Some even hire out baby-carriers, push chairs and wheelchairs to help your day run smoothly. Know your rights and speak up if you feel that any of the gardens have unnecessarily restricted access. Everyone has a right to access and enjoy our horticultural offerings and access for one and all.
