The views are inspirationally awesome and can be enjoyed from 14 of the 18 bedrooms, 7 of which have balconies and the double deluxe has its own private terrace. In fact the BBC filmed 'Best Views in Britain' from the hotel grounds.

Watch quietly as the first rays of the sun hit the mount from the east, illuminating it with golden light - or catch the sun set in the west turning the waters of the bay to pink and purple just as the twinkling lights of Penzance across the bay light up - it is to be in another World.

Uncluttered style brings together cool, modern colours, Indian silks and warm natural woods and leather. The combination is designed to help you relax and let go of all the strains of everyday life. There really is an otherworldly quality to St.Michael's Mount and our aim is to help you enjoy and make the most of your precious time out.

Food is a very important aspect of the Mount Haven. We have an AA rosette for fine food and we go to great lengths to ensure we offer the freshest of local produce. The fish comes daily from the fishing village of Newlyn, across the bay, and the meat is from a local farm where animal welfare is priority. The vegetables are seasonal and from the local fields, when available. Everything is prepared on the premises from the bread to the petit fours. Breakfast is quite an affair and don't be surprised if you don't need anything more until dinner!

The hotel is totally non-smoking for the comfort of our guests, but smoking is allowed outside on the terrace or on your private balcony or patio.

We offer a range of holistic therapies in our Treatment Room to enhance the relaxation of your break - Aromatherapy, Hot rocks, Holistic massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Indian Head Massage and Chakra balancing. It's amazing how a couple of hours of pampering can double the benefits of your holiday.

Through the season local flowers are a feature of the hotel and are grown by a specialist grower in Rosudgeon, a mile west of the hotel.

West Cornwall is such a spectacular place. Almost an island, being only 8 miles wide and 12 miles in length, it's packed with beautiful white sandy beaches and secret hidden bays. The walks and the gardens are stunning. Even in deep winter it's a joy to be here and enjoy the wilder side of life and the elements. Storm watching from your bedroom or from the huge picture window in the bar is quite something. The normal nature of the bay here is calm and tranquil, but when it does get wild it's transfixing.

All rooms have their own new, private bathroom or shower room. Some have extra large beds and all have tea and coffee making equipment. Flat screen televisions are in all rooms with 8 digital channels. Wifi is also available. We do sit on a cliff and some of our Victorian walls are 3ft thick, so sometimes reception (even on mobiles) is a bit of a problem, but we do our best!

If you are on your way to the Isles of Scilly, Mount Haven is a perfect place to rest up before your morning flight or sail - you could be back for longer next time!

We have a large private car park, so there's another worry out of the way!
