Carleen Subtropical Gardens

Private subtropical garden. Collection from South America, Mexico, central and South Asia, Austrialia, New Zealand, Southern USA and the Mediterranean. Very rare and unusual specimens, grass cut pathways, peaceful setting.

90% of the specimen plants were grown from seed from 1992 onwards by the owner. The gardens are the result of the owners fascination for sub tropical and temperate plants eg.Palms- Archontophoenix, Livistona, Rhopalostylis, Syagrus, Washingtonia and Brahea; rare tree ferns(Cyathea), Acacias, Callistemons, Mexican pines,rare bamboos and tropical Eucalyptus. Many more plants to see, over 300 specimens.
