The Dog Festival - Port Eliot

Port Eliot Dog Festival

Roo and Lark, Port Eliot's resident whippets, host a day for all dogs and their servants, erm um, sorry owners. The Dog Festival began as Roo's revenge, as he was banned from the main Port Eliot Festival for most inappropriately peeing on tents. Roo therefore has his own festival with his friends invited along for a fun day out.

Port Eliot’s resident pair of canine host a magnificent, if infamous, whippet tea party and Mr Fowley, Children's Hospice South West's Leonberger doggy friend, takes care of the fun dog show with prizes for the fluffiest dog and the waggiest tail. For humans there are an array of stalls, cream teas and other refreshments, a treasure hunt and other activities for kids, and musical entertainment later on in the afternoon. A great day with proceeds going to the Children's Hospice South West Precious Lives Appeal, raising funds for the children's hospice at Little Harbour, near St Austell.

This might be the opportunity your pooch has been waiting for! Entry to the wonderful grounds is £2.00 per adult, Children free and £1.00 per class entry in the dog show. In addition the house is open to visitors from 2pm to 5pm for an additional £5.00.
